Our Mission
Blue Oak Patio & Landscape is not your typical landscape installation company. Founded in 2018, Blue Oak was started with the belief that a landscape company can do something more impactful than simply install pretty plants and pavers.
How we do it? Our well-designed landscapes and patios, and our attention to detail during installation, creates spaces for people to live the lives they want to live. Our professional interaction, careful attention to the desires of the homeowner, and striving to provide service that goes above and beyond creates a total experience that you will not get from any other contractor. We treat all our employees with respect, pay them a fair wage, and encouraging constant self-improvement opportunities. The Earth is our canvas, so we constantly strive to improve how we care for the environment and to become a more sustainable company. Additionally, we donate 1% of our proceeds and time to help those who struggle with food security.
Whether it is for a paver patio for entertaining, improved curb appeal, or a comprehensive plan for your property, we focus on creating unique solutions that fit your needs. Our two designers have a combined 25+ years of experience and stay on top of the latest trends, plants, and hardscape materials. Our installation crews have many years of experience in the field and take an artistic craftsman approach on each project. We do things the right way so that you can be sure your project will stand the test of time.

Our Team
Pete
Owner and Landscape Designer
Pete is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and The Ohio State University. He holds an M.A. in Landscape Architecture and has over 18 years of experience in the landscape design/build industry. Pete matches an eye for creative and functional designs with attention to detail through the installation of the project. Pete is a member of Hilliard City Council and an active member of the community where he resides with his wife, Bev, and their three daughters, Clare, Violet, and Anna.
Nikolay
Hardscape Foreman/Team Mentor
Nikolay is one of the finest hardscape craftsmen in the region. Nikolay began with Blue Oak during our first season in 2018 and has 21 years of experience hardscape installation experience. Nikolay can manipulate natural stone and pavers the way an artist handles a brush and his attention to detail is unmatched. Nikolay is not only a Hardscape Foreman, but a mentor and teacher to the entire Blue Oak team. Nikolay and his wife, Natalya, live in Columbus and have 4 children.
Brian
Project Manager
Brian is a Hardscape Foreman and has been with Blue Oak since our first season in 2018 and has 10 years of experience in the Green Industry. Brian’s passion for the industry shows up in all his work and his ultimate goal is to create an Outdoor Living Space that will compete with your living spaces inside the home. Brian has grown personally and professionally throughout his time at Blue Oak. Brian has two daughters, Aubree and Nicole, and is engaged to his wonderful fiancé Michaela, who also has two daughters, Lily and Stella. They currently live in Hilliard and are building a home in Mount Sterling where they look forward to creating many memories as a family.
Nik
Hardscape Foreman
Nik has 3 years of experience in the Green Industry and began with Blue Oak in the spring of 2021. Nik began on the landscape installation side and, through building his construction skills, has quickly become a Hardscape Foreman. Nik lives in Dublin with his wife, Ariel, and their dog. When Nik is not at work, you will most likely find him on the golf course.
Patrick
Landscape Foreman
Patrick is originally from Cleveland and joined the Blue Oak team when he moved to the Columbus area in July of 2021. Patrick alternates between roles of Landscape Foreman and Hardscape Crew Member, as he develops new skills. Patrick comes to work every day with an infectiously positive attitude and a desire to work hard and continue to learn. Patrick resides in Dublin with his wife, Jessica, and their cats Luna and Lucy.
Peyton
Hardscape Foreman
Peyton is entering his 7th season of working in the hardscape industry. He enjoys working with each homeowner to make each step of the process as smooth as possible and to bring their dreams to life. In his off time, Peyton enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs going for walks and trips to the park. Peyton’s favorite project type is anything where dogs are around!
